More than performing arts: confidence, connection, community.

Why jitterbug?

Connection first, always.

Before we teach a single note or step, we create a space where kids feel safe, seen, and supported. Strong relationships are the heartbeat of everything we do.

creativity without pressure.

There’s no ‘right way’ to express yourself here. Our programs are process driven and focused on exploration. Mistakes are part of the magic and growth.

play is powerful

Play isn’t just fun — it’s foundational. Through performing arts kids learn to express emotions, take risks, solve problems, and build confidence from the inside out. We're not growing performers — we're nurturing emotionally intelligent, resilient humans.

Jitterbug began as a spark of an idea — a place where kids could explore the performing arts in a way that put their experience at the center. From day one, we’ve believed that when we prioritize the child - their voice, their confidence, their growth — everything else falls into place.

Now entering our 15th season, Jitterbug has taken many forms over the years, from humble beginnings to a bustling community hub. Through it all, our mission has stayed the same: to create a space where creativity, confidence, and connection come to life. Whether it’s a child’s first piano lesson or their tenth production, we’re here to help them build core moments — the kind that shape skills, character, and courage that last a lifetime.
